Description
These trees are 2-3 year old trees that are bare root put into a 12″ pot that should be planted and pruned as soon as purchased. Pears can take up to 4 years before they will grow fruit. This Canadian pear is more round than a typical pear and get up to about 2 inch in diameter. This pear is cold hearty and pollinates with Early Gold, Bartlet, and Asian also it is resistant to some diseases including fire blight. It is best to plant a few next to each other to encourage your pollinators to stay active and in your orchard. These pears are best for eating, and can be used in canning. This variety is often desired as the leaves turn burgundy in the fall after the fruit matures in late August.
