Each year I pick up a few Apple trees. They are whips of a variety that grow well around Flathead Lake in Montana. In 2022 I picked up 10 Red Fuji Apple Trees and I’ve continued to stock them. They have been crossed with a cold hearty variety and do well around the lake. These trees are whips that are bare root put into a 12″ pot that should be planted and pruned as soon as purchased. Apples can take up to 5 years before they will grow fruit. It is best to plant a few next to each other to encourage your pollinators to stay active and in your orchard. These apples are best for eating, not for pie making.
