Description
Due to numerous requests, we’ve brought in Blanca a white currant with Swedish origin. The berries are creamy white to light yellow in color.
The fruits are so sweet, they are usually eaten fresh from the bush. The dense forming fruit clusters are
extremely long, 4-5 inches with medium size berries, about 9 mm in diameter. The
berries have a very good post – harvest shelf life for fresh markets. The yields average 8-10 pounds per
bush with some reports of producing 30 pounds per plant. Grows successfully in zones 4-7, however with a little extra care in preparing for winter, we’ve had good luck with growing currants around the lake.
